In 2004, Philanthropist Kenneth Orr and his wife Cori of Old Westbury, New York, created the Orr Foundation, which supports various causes and charities.
The foundation makes donations to fight cancer, autism, and domestic violence. It also supports educational programs. Kenneth Orr has reached out to many charities through the Orr Foundation. These include the American Red Cross, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America. In addition, the foundation has helped Kick-It , a foundation that supports childhood cancer research, Ascent: A School for Individuals with Autism, and The Brendan and Liam Shanahan Foundation. The Orr foundation has benefited Mosdot Shuva Israel, American Friends of Meir Panim, and Friends of the Israel Defense Forces.
Supporting the Jewish Community
The efforts of Philanthropist Kenneth Orr don’t end there. He provides support to the Jewish community on a local and national level. The Orr foundation has benefited Mosdot Shuva Israel, American Friends of Meir Panim, and Friends of the Israel Defense Forces. Kenny served the board of directors of the Old Westbury Hebrew Congregation and the North Shore LIJ. He also sat on the board of directors of Aish HaTorah. His foundation made a significant donation, which allowed Aish HaTorah to build a new yeshiva in Jerusalem.
Philanthropist Kenneth Orr also sits on the board of directors for the University of Pennsylvania’s Institute on Aging. In addition, he acted as president of a summer camp program called The Lawrenceville School Camp.
